INTRODUCTION

Your privacy and security of your personal information are very important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, use, and protect Personally Identifiable Information (defined below). This Privacy Policy is governed by our Terms of Service located at app.lifestyle-learning.com All capitalized terms not defined herein are also defined in the Terms of Service.

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes to this Privacy Policy here so that you always know what information we gather, how we might use it, and whether we will disclose that information to anyone. Please refer back to this Privacy Policy on a regular basis. By accessing and using the Platform, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy and you hereby consent that we will collect, store, use, and protect your Personal Information in the following ways. If you do not agree with any practices in this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Platform.

If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that the information you provide to us is transmitted to and processed in the United States. Your information will be protected subject to this Privacy Policy and applicable law, which may be different from the laws in your country.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect two types of information: personally identifiable information and non-personally identifiable information.

Personally Identifiable Information. Personally identifiable information means any information that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you (“Personally Identifiable Information”). Such Personally Identifiable Information may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, email address, telephone number, and date of birth. We will request Personally Identifiable Information from you when you register for an Account, sign up for a yearly subscription or contact us.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information. When you simply access the Platform or become a registered user of the Platform, we may collect information that by itself cannot be used to identify or contact you, such as demographic information such as age, profession or gender (collectively, “Non-Personally Identifiable Information”). Non-Personally Identifiable Information may also include user IP addresses, browser types, operating system a user uses, a time-stamp, and other browser or device information, part of the Platform a user accesses, domain names, and other anonymous statistical data involving the use of the Platform. Non-Personally Identifiable Information is used to help us understand who uses the Platform and to improve operation of the Platform.

INFORMATION PROVIDED BY CHILDREN

The Platform operates in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). With a parental/guardian permission and consent, children under the age of eighteen (18) will be able to create their own Accounts on the Platform and submit Personally Identifiable Information.

COOKIES POLICY

When using the Platform, our servers automatically collect the Internet Protocol (“IP”) address associated with your computer or mobile device. We may also collect additional information such as login timestamp, the browser type and version, and the operating system of the computer or mobile device. This information is logged to help us diagnose technical problems and to administer the Platform.

To collect information about the use of the Platform, we use cookies. Cookies are small data files sent by a website or application and stored on the computer or device at the request of that site or app. Cookies store information related to the browser to enable us to recognize the browser on return visits to the Platform and to remember your preferences. We use third-party service providers to assist us in collecting and understanding the usage information.

Most browsers can be set to detect browser cookies and to let you reject them.  If you wish to restrict or block the cookies which are set by the Company, or indeed any other website, you can do this through your browser settings. The Help function within your browser should tell you how. You will also find details on how to delete cookies from your computer as well as more general information about cookies. Please be aware that restricting cookies may impact the functionality and your enjoyment of the Platform.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

Generally, we collect, store, use and disclose information to enable us to (i) improve your experience when you use the Platform, (ii) create your Account, (iii) identify you as a user, (iv) respond to your inquiries and emails, (v) send you administrative and service related communications, and (vi) send you newsletters, surveys, offers, and other promotional materials. Except as set out in this Privacy Policy, your information will not be used for any other purpose without informing you first by updating this Privacy Policy.

Except for the limited disclosures described in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell user lists and we will endeavor to keep your Personally Identifiable Information private.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information and anonymous aggregate statistics that do not personally identify a user will be kept and used by us for various purposes including analysis and reporting of usage patterns. We reserve the right to use and disclose Non-Personally Identifiable Information and anonymous aggregate statistics for any purpose and to any third party in our sole discretion.

Agent, Business Partners, & Service Providers. We may engage certain trusted third parties (including our agents, business partners, or service providers) to perform functions and provide services to us, including, without limitation, hosting and maintenance, and database storage and management, and payment processing. We may share your Personally Identifiable Information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these functions and get such services. Notwithstanding the foregoing, all the billing information you submit is transmitted directly to a third-party payment-processing partner such as PayPal and we do not have access to such information. Please bear in mind that these trusted third parties have their own privacy policies that we encourage you to read.

Business Transfers. We may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of our assets, including your Personally Identifiable Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy.

Disclosures for Legal Purposes. We may disclose your Personally Identifiable Information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of Platform users or the public, or (iv) protect us from legal liability.

THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. The fact that our Platform may contain links to third-party websites shall not be construed as an endorsement, authorization or representation of our affiliation with those third parties. We do not exercise control over third-party websites either. These other websites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit Personally Identifiable Information from you. We encourage you to read the privacy policies or statements of the other websites you visit.

SECURITY

The security of your information is important to us. We use commercially reasonable efforts to store and maintain your information in a secure environment and have implemented commercially reasonable procedures designed to limit unauthorized access, use or disclosure of your information. However, you are also responsible for helping us protect the security of your Personally Identifiable Information. For instance, never give out your password, and remember to log out of your Account when you are finished using the Platform.

When the Platform is accessed using a supported web browser, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects information using both server authentication and data encryption to help ensure that data is safe, secure, and available only to authorized users.

We host information about you in secure server and cloud-based environments that use a firewall and other industry-standard technology in an effort to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Despite these measures, however, you should know that we cannot fully eliminate security risks associated with your information.

OPT-OUT POLICY

We and our business partners may send you newsletters, surveys, offers, and other promotional materials. You may opt-out of receiving any such promotional communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the e-mail you receive from us or our partners or by contacting us directly at [email protected]. Despite your indicated e-mail preferences, we may send you service related communication, including notices of any updates to our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.
